Big Human built Subdial as a free app. This SERVICE is provided by Big Human at no cost and is intended for use AS IS.
This Privacy Policy is used to inform users of our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
What Information does Subdial collect?
Non-Personal Information
Our Website’s and our App’s servers automatically collect certain information, not including Personal Information, when you use our App or visit our Website. This Non-Personal Information includes, without limitation, your Internet service provider, Internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, any website that referred you to our Website, the pages you request on our Website, and the date and time of those requests and the time you spend on each page. It also includes your device operating system, device identifier as a unique object, your location, if you have activated your location system or otherwise provided your location to us, log information including view/exit pages, date/time stamps. We use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of our Website and our App. This information is for our internal review only and your individual Non-Personal Information is not shared with third parties. Your Non-Personal Information may be aggregated with other users and the aggregated data may be shared with other noncommercial third parties such as public or private service providers.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
The mobile-app version of this Service does not use any “cookies”. We do not track you in any way on the mobile app.
The web-app version of this service may use “cookies” for analytics and usage tracking purposes. Many consider the use of cookies to be an industry standard. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any Personal Information. Your browser is probably set to accept cookies. You can disable cookies on your device by indicating this in the preferences or options menus in your browser; however, doing so may limit your ability to view or use our Website. Personal Information
We do not require the collection of any Personally Identifiable Information (PIII) in order to use the Service.
In addition to the Non-Personal Information noted above, on some pages, you may choose to send your Personal Information to us, such as when you contact us from the app or marketing site, and you choose to provide us with your name and or email address. Providing us with your name and or email address are totally optional when sending us a message. Please note that if you are a user under the age of 13 years old – you will need to confirm your age and receive parental consent as we comply with all Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requirements and do not collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13 years old, except as outlined below and with parental permission.
If you choose to provide any personal information, through any means of your choice, (such as by offering feedback or suggestions, posting social media pages, sharing or linking to friends from our App or Website, emailing us, joining our email list, or otherwise contacting) we will use the information for the purpose for which it was collected and for other reasonably related purposes we determine are appropriate in our sole and absolute discretion. We may remove all Personal Information in order to aggregate such data and share the aggregated data with other noncommercial third parties such as public or private service providers, however, Big Human will not sell, rent, trade, share or otherwise disclose your Personal Information to any third party for any other purpose.
Emergency Related Services
We may collect certain forms of personal information in connection with running certain type of Emergency-Related Services. We will only use the personal information that we collect in connection with our Emergency-Related Services for the limited purposes and for the limited time period described below. We do not sell this information.
We may also receive information about you or your household directly from Emergency Service Providers, from Computer-Aided Dispatch System providers, and from other organizations that work with or assist Emergency Service Providers. We also collect this personal information from cell phones and other devices on which Subdial is installed and working (“Connected Devices”). If your Connected device is used to call 911, text 911 or otherwise contact an Emergency Service Provider, Subdial may attempt to automatically transmit information from your device that may assist the Emergency Service Provider in directing appropriate and timely assistance to you. This process will involve our collection and temporary retention of personal information derived from Emergency-Related Services. Connected Devices may transmit personal information to Subdial only when that device is used to communicate with an Emergency Service Provider.
If your Connected Device is used to contact an Emergency Service Provider, we may collect the following categories of personal information associated with the device:
- Information that directly identifies the owner or customary user of the device, such as your name, physical address, email address, and phone number.
- Precise geolocation of the Connected Device.
We do not use personal information collected through Emergency-Related Services, including information collected from Emergency Service Providers, Computer-Aided Dispatch System providers, other organizations that work with or assist Emergency Service Providers, or Connected Devices, for research, advertising, or analytics purposes.
Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Security
Users are able to save resources in the app in order to access them quickly in the future. The saved resources are stored locally on the users’ device, and using this feature is completely optional. We also store the last selected location, but again, this is only stored on the device itself.
We value your trust in using our Service, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policies of these websites. Children’s Privacy
The Subdial App complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). Subdial App does not knowingly collect Customer Information from children under the age of 13 through on the Subdial App. In the event that a user identifies himself or herself as a child under the age of 13 within the Subdial App, Subdial App will not knowingly collect, store or use any Customer Information of such user unless parental consent is given. However, as Subdial aims to provide emergency services to all users and therefore, parents should be aware of the geolocating feature on Subdial that could aid a child under the age of 13 in receiving emergency services (please see the Emergency Related Services section above).
Big Human/Subdial will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone. We do not store or log any personally identifiable information, nor do we have the means to at this time, however, we do have a geolocating feature. Due to this, we provide notice to all users of this geolocating feature and those individuals under the age of 13 must identify that they are under 13 and must obtain verifiable parental consent to use our app.
If we learn that personal information has been collected on the Service from persons under 13 years of age and without parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 13 years of age has obtained an account on the Service, then you may alert us at privacy@subdial.app and request that we delete that child’s personal information from our systems.
